around Saint-Pierre et Miquelon
 

Two letters of application for oil and gas exploration permits in the French Exclusive Economic Zone around the islands of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, submitted in 2009 by the oil and gas company ConocoPhillips Canada and the French company Bardoil Energy SPM were published June 1 in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This publication explains the conditions in which authorization is granted concerning oil and gas exploration work, development and production by the companies.

• ConocoPhillips Canada for the Langlade permit
• Bardoil Energy SPM for the Hermine permit

Competing applications are accepted for 90 days should other oil and gas companies find interest in prospects of oil and gas around Saint-Pierre et Miquelon in the French EEZ.
